Souvenirs for Your Taste Buds
Surrounded by the sea, Samsø is blessed with a mild climate and great conditions for producing pretty much all forms of vegetables and fruits. Remember to bring home a sample of the island when you leave.
In recent years, innovative people from Samsø have started experimenting with unique tastes and created completely new products by combining the produce of the island with classical products like vegetable oils, schnapps, salt, honey and syrup. For example, you can try rosehip jam made with berries from the marshes, blackberry schnapps, potato aperitif, beetroot mustard, rhubarb syrup and many other interesting “souvenirs” that help make it fun to create healthy and delicious dishes.
